Second-hand bookshop in a rural setting. Wide-ranging general stock. The priory buildings and grounds are free to visit.

Benburb Priory, which is run by a Catholic order known as the Servites, has an open-door policy towards all members of the community. It opened a second-hand bookshop in its craft shop in 2022, but in April 2024 it relocated the bookshop to the priory's library, where there is more room. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the priory. There is a diverse selection of fiction (mostly in paperback), as well as children's books. The main non-fiction categories are history, religion and crafts, along with biographies. Access for those with disabilities is straightforward, as there is a ramp to the entrance. Benburb is situated amid very attractive scenery, about eight miles south of Dungannon and the same distance north-west of Armagh. To get here, you really need a car. Although there are vestigial bus links to both of the above places, the arrival times do not fit at all well with the opening hours here (the journey back could be less of a problem).  Booker T 05.12.24
